1. These terms
These terms apply to the Maid2Clean Cleaner Portal app (on Google Play and the Apple App Store) and the Cleaner Portal website at www.maid2cleanportal.co.uk (together, the "Portal").
They apply only to the Portal. They do not replace any agreement you already have with your local Maid2Clean office about cleaning work.
By creating an account, signing in, or carrying on using the Portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.
2. Who provides the Portal
The Portal is provided by JG Customer Services Ltd, company number 06942109, whose registered office is at 76 Attleborough Road, Nuneaton, CV11 4JJ ("we", "us"). The Portal is developed by Dofollow Ltd.
Maid2Clean (Franchise) Limited (company number 04431166, registered office 112-114 Witton Street, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5NW) is the franchisor of the Maid2Clean name. Each local Maid2Clean office is a separate business. The franchisor does not provide this app, and your local office does not provide this app. We provide the Portal so that offices and their cleaners can deal with day-to-day information.
The Portal is free to download and free to use. There is nothing to buy in it.
3. What the Portal is for
The Portal is for people who already work as domestic cleaners with a Maid2Clean office. Depending on what your office uses, you can:
- sign in and look after your Portal account, including your password
- see available work, ask for it, or say you cannot take it
- see details of clients you are connected with
- report absence or holiday, update the areas you can work, and change your status
- contact your office
- receive notifications about work and other Portal messages
- view a Maid2Clean ID, where a photo is held for you
- see feedback, where your office uses that
- use the hours and finance tools, where your office uses them: a current work confirmation, sending a receipt to a client, recording a payment from a client, recording an expense, and annual earnings
A job shown in the Portal may already have been taken by the time you open it. Asking for work does not mean you will be given it. Your office decides what work is offered.
4. This is not your cleaning contract
Cleaners who use Maid2Clean work with their local office on a self-employed basis. The Portal does not employ you, does not engage you, and does not create a contract for cleaning between you and us, the franchisor, or a client.
Pay, hours, cover, and whether you carry on working are between you and your local office, and where relevant the client, under the arrangements you already have with them.
Hours, payments, expenses and earnings shown in the Portal are there to help you keep your own records. They are not a payslip, an invoice from us, or tax advice. Before those finance tools are shown, you may be asked to confirm that your records can be displayed to you.
5. Who can have an account
You can register only if the name, National Insurance number and postcode you enter match a cleaner record already held for an office that uses the Portal, and you are actively working with Maid2Clean.
The details you give must be accurate, and you must tell your office when they change. Do not register on behalf of someone else, and do not use another person's account.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away using the support form in section 14.
6. Client information
Client names, addresses, telephone numbers, clean days and similar details are shown so that you can carry out work arranged through your office. Use them only for that.
Do not copy them, pass them on, or use them for anything else, including contacting a client about work of your own outside those arrangements. That duty continues after you stop using the Portal.
7. Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a token for that device so the Portal can send messages, such as new work. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings. You can also ask us to stop them, using the support form.
8. How you must use the Portal
You must not:
- use the Portal with details that are not yours, or after you have stopped working with Maid2Clean
- try to open another person's account or information, interfere with the Portal, or use any automated means to take information from it
- send absence, holiday, work or finance information that you know is not true
- misuse client or office information
We may suspend or close access if your record no longer matches, your office ends your registration, you break these terms, or we need to protect the Portal, a client, an office, or another cleaner.
9. Availability
We provide the Portal as it is available. Features differ from one office to another, and we may add, change or remove them. We may also need to take the Portal offline for maintenance or because something has gone wrong.
We do not promise that the Portal will always be available, or that every notification, job or record will arrive on time and without error. A good deal of what you see is supplied by offices. If a record looks wrong, contact your office.
10. Closing your account
You can ask us to delete your Cleaner Portal account on the account deletion page. We check that request against the email address, name and National Insurance number on the account.
Deleting the account removes your Portal login and the preferences held for this app and website. It does not end your work with your local office, and it does not erase records that office keeps where the law requires or allows it, for example recruitment, registration, tax, or right to work. Records of actions you have taken in the Portal, and financial records, may be kept as described in the privacy notice. You can ask for self-logged financial data during that period.
11. Privacy
How personal data is used is set out in the Maid2Clean privacy notice. Your local office is the controller for the cleaner and client records it holds. We process Portal information, including your login, your device notification token, and the actions you take in the Portal, so that the Portal can run.
To exercise a UK GDPR right, use the form on that privacy notice. To delete only the Portal account, use the deletion page in section 10.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
The Portal is a free information tool. Apart from the paragraph above, we are not liable for loss of income, loss of work, or loss of a client relationship; for a job that was no longer available; for a notification that was late or did not arrive; for a decision you, a client or an office takes from information in the Portal; or for indirect or consequential loss.
Apart from the first paragraph of this section, our total liability to you for the Portal in any 12-month period is limited to £100.
13. Stores and other parties
If you download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, that store's own terms also apply to the download. We are not Google or Apple.
Contact details for your local office are there so you can reach that office. What you then agree with them is separate from these terms.
14. Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms by publishing a new version on this page and changing the date at the top. If you keep using the Portal after that date, the new terms apply. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Portal and, if you want to, ask for your account to be deleted.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute about them.
